Hey i have 2 pygmy bearded dragons and i have just went in to find that my spot light has blown. It was one of those expensive ecoterra ones which i have only had for 2 months. I was just wondering if you can use any other type of bulbs because i dont wanna go keep buying one of those if they are just gunna keep blowing every couple of months

Thanks

We use downlights in our dragon enclosures for heat, and if you remove the glass covering it will also provide UV. Otherwise another suggestion I can make is using a normal spot light bulb for heating and have an outdoor set up for him, or take him outside in the sunshine - either sitting while you supervise them, or left somewhere where they have access to cool shade. 4 hours a week of natural sunlight is suppose to be the equivalent to 10 hours a day of artificial UV lighting.
