Hey guys this is my first post and unfortunately its a bad one. Woke up this morning to feed and play with my first snake ever to find it was missing i turned the tank upside down looking for it but its escaped. We have 2 cats so i don't like its chances i have looked everywhere! Poor thing was only 40cm long.

mate, there have been some great thread lately of techniques to use to try and get your snake back, so use the search tool and you should get some good ideas - plastic bags, flours, light things on shelves...

sorry to hear, and good luck

Thanks again guys. Turned the house upside down multiple times already. Will keep an eye out for it tho. Went and checked out another snake yesterday tho. Much bigger then the one i have now so it can't get out. Put a deposit on it. Hope my childrens really does show up tho :(

Best thing to do is to go around the darkened house with a torch, especially around half an hour to one hour after the lights go out at night, when everything is dark and quiet, and occasionally thru the night if you wake up.

If the house is warm and quiet, they will start to move almost as soon as it gets dark. They usually don't go far, so make sure you have blocked access to the outside, under doors etc, and you should be lucky. The cats could be a problem though...

Im sure he will turn up..being that small youll be amazed where he can fit..check anywhere that might be warm, behind fridge, enclosure etc...computer..tv..
Id sit up at night and wait..he may come out of hiding :p you can also leave a mouse out somewhere and see if he comes for it...lock the cats away first ;)

All the best in finding your little childreni, really hope he's ok and that you're able to find him soon! Just don't give up hope and use the methods suggested in previous threads as many have had success with these.

Btw your doggie's head made-a steel or something? That does look pretty sore there!
