I just ordered mine and had to wait 12 or so long years - but it's going to be well worth the wait.

Im in exactly the same position... well mum is all for it on the condition of no more rats or birds or fish lol... ill admit i do have quite the menagerie, but the step dad is determined not to let me have one, mostly coz he is a ****er lol my only solution move out 
wich is fine by me try bribery it goes along way if theres anything you have that your mum hates promise to give it up on the condition you can have your snake. My mum was dead against it till she went to curumbin and iheld one now shes working on the stepfather for me
