My murray female started laying this morning. She passed 10, then stopped. I have some heplful info from a friend, which i did, with no luck. It was placing her in a warm bath and massaging her vent. She started pushing again, then stopped and pulled it back in. There looks like there maybe 4 inside still. She looks like she wants to push, but the 1 stuck at the vent, looks really big.

I know i should take her to vet, so please dont tell me that!! My vet is shut, and emergency vets "dont deal with exotic pets". Also tried Oz zoo hospital, they are the same. I just want helpful info and anything else i can do to comfort her and help get them out till i take her to my vet tomorrow.

THANKS IN ADVANCE :D

G'day Python Gal,

She could be doing this for a number of reasons...if she doesn't pass it soon, give me a call on the number below. There's a couple of different methods to get them to pass it, which are a bit hard to explain over the Internet.

Good luck,

Very, very nice of you Johno......:D
Thumbs up mate.

My Coastal did the same thing, and after a few days i took her to the vet, and she tried a few different things that didn't work and eventually had to operate to remove 5 eggs.

When the eggs are surgically removed they do not survive, so good luck trying to get them out.

Mum is well

Hi, thanks to all for caring and sharing!!

I managed to help her get 1 egg out last night, thats all she had left in her, she was stuffed. My poor darling.
So... Took Kiara (Mummy) to see Clayton, she was well and truly egg bound. She went in for the operation, but when Clayton anesthetised her, he delicatley pushed the remaining 7 eggs out. He said he was surprised that he could push them out without having to operate! Less painful for her, and a quick and easy recovery!!

Thanks again, nice to know people care!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

thats great news to hear she is ok and good for you for spending the time and stress i would imagine in helping her get there, all the best with the eggs but when they hatch dont forget to share some pics with us

I set my alarm clock every 2 hours last night to get up and check on her.
I was stressing!! Thought it was my fault, but Clayton assured me it wasn't... :D

Definatley put photos up, hoping my 'miracle' egg (the last she pushed out) hatches (along with the rest)! 11 in total.

Thats awesome news Python Gal i hope all the eggs are good and hatch for you,you defiantly deserve it.

phew glad to hear she is ok ...
how cool she didnt need surgery... well done
