Can't decide wether to keep the iron sights or go for a red dot. Either way i'll be doing some fast paced killing with it!

nice! My dad and I just got 2 new riffles, a 223. and a 17. New scopes, the lot.

Can't wait for the papers to pass through and go out hunting.

But green would blend in pretty bad with the flood plain grass and at night it would be tricky to tell what are glowing eyes and what your dots are.

I just remembered why i didn't buy another gun ages ago, i'm saving for a house... ohwell lol too late now!

But i can't beleive how cheap i'm getting it! And it's not even stolen!

If its shooting at 50yards max, in the scrub, close range on pigs and buffalo, would a sight be pretty well useless? An open sight might be a lot easier. And as you said, green would blend in..

Red dots don't magnify anything, they are just a replacment for the iron sights. They are also way quicker and easier to use than the iron sights because you can shoot with both eyes open (if you use one eye your eye will drag to the target which is slow) and no matter where you put your head the dot is always where your bullet will land.

Definately not useless, but it is kinda cheating lol.
