Hello,
Sorry if this appears twice, I waited patiently for my post to appear and it is usually instantaneous so I thought I would resend just in case.
I have recently acquired a breeding pair of beardies from my cousin who can no longer take care of them. They have moved from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains (its alot colder down here). They are of breeding age and I think a couple of years old? Anyway, I am learning. I have only had them for a few weeks.
They are usually a bright orange/yellow but today the boy turned very dark blue.
you can see his face is about the only thing that still yellow.
He was bright yellow this morning as it was a nice sunny day and I put him outside in his free range enclosure. This afternoon, he was blue.
Am I letting him get too cold? At the moment, I turn the heat lamp in his enclosure off at night, but maybe since it is alot colder down here I need to get a night light that keeps him warm?
Maybe it is just normal but I want to check.
You can view larger images of him here:

Also, since I am starting out, can anyone recommend a good book on caring for beardies. The internet is ok but sometimes....I just prefer a book
Thanks
