I am not quite sure how to describe it; I have an "albino Bredli"; if he gets stressed or inconvenienced he'll puff out his chin; and if that doesn't work he'll even flatten out his neck (like an elapid - it's a bit cute). If anyone else holds him; he puffs out, then goes back to normal when I take him back.
He's done it since he was a hatchling (2 year old now), no signs or RI and he'll go from "puffy" to normal in the space of a couple of seconds.
Does anyone else's snake do this? I have 6 in total and none of the others do anything remotely similar.
The three photos I attached were all taken the same day and no more than 3 minutes apart; "puffy face" while I'm holding him (He didnt appreciate the horses coming up to us when we went into their paddock), "flattened neck" when I put him on the grass and then little mini periscope/normal face about a minute after that.
Any ideas what this is: or is it just a how Jason wants to "express himself"?
