After keeping the same 2 Bearded Dragons in the same tank last night for the first time I caught them doing the wild thing. It was never my intention to bread them in fact my very novice attempts to sex the suggested that I had 2 females, but apparently not.

I could separate them but it is a bit late now. If she does lay eggs I know I could just leave them at the wrong temps and they won't grow or hatch but my 11 year old daughter will not let me get away with that one.

Any ideas welcome.

I'm sure someone else will chyme in soon. Ive never bred bearded dragons but I read from another situation of someone who was unprepared's dragons mating. Apparently, bearded dragon eggs are pretty resilient and can hatch if left at the part of the enclosure which is closest to 30 degrees - I think it was 30. Im sure taking the eggs out to incubate them will be more successful and you can find many methods on designing your own incubator, I believe there is a guide on ultimate reptile supplies site, or you could buy a pre made one. I would tell you the user who was knowledgable on allowing the eggs to incubate in the enclosure, but I cant remember who they were. Hopefully they see this thread.

Info on breeding beardies is pretty accessible so you could probably find some useful info on google
