My hubby and I are so sorry for you. You are doing so much better than I could ever hope to in your situation. How about writing "I love you" and "Marry Me" or anything else you can think of, on little bits of paper.... I mean heaps of them.... get a couple of foolscap sheets and pretend you're writing lines for school ..lol... cut them up and then put them in the bed on his side. So when he slips between the sheets, he'll be rolling in them.... corny?? probably.. but different!

Find yourself a good quality plain cushion and have the proposal embroidered onto it along with your names and date, When he says yes then you can have that embrodered onto the other side along with your wedding date. That way you will always have a wonderfull keepsake as a reminder of those special moments

I've been to Paronella Park and loved it. It would be an awesome place to get hitched.

Maybe if you took him out to a dinner (maybe someplace where they have a band), possibly with as many family and friends present. Pretend it is someones birthday (so he would'nt be none the wiser) and whenever the time is right get the singer or MC to get everyones attention and then pop the question.

I'm sure it would be a night that will last forever.

hey cass so sorry to hear that mate our thoughts are with you. my only suggestion is do the proposal at a small wedding ceromony have someone you both know really well be the celebrant and have everyone in on it but him get someone you know to say they are having a bbq somewhere you both really love and get him to somehow rock up with a close mate someone he'd choose as a best man and when he see's you with your babies draped over you he will have to say yes. that way the only thing to make it offical is to have a registry marriage later on that way you can have your special day with only the closest people to you both there. good luck mate.

Grumpy its ok we don't really need anything, thank you sooo much though.

Mrs I thank you but i'm not really a girly girl into the whole white wedding thing, just wanna keep it casual and i couldnt take your dress away from you, i think its something very special.

My dad wants to pay for my dress to be made, thinking of getting something in ivory but with black lace over the top, or someting sort of medieval floaty but modern style.... dont know yet...

As for the ring.... I'm gonna put off replacing the carbys in my car and redoing the interior and have the money from my tax return..... just gonna get a plain white gold wedding band and then a jellewer friend of mine will custom design whatever we want

I really do want to thank everyone..... I've had such a crap last couple of months and had really lost faith in the human race..... but when push comes to shove its awesome to see that there are genuinely good people out there.....

Hey Cass, I'm so sorry to hear that :cry:. I hope I wasn't too pushy with Squidgy or anything...obviously you had more important things going on

My idea was kinda what you've already thought of but I was gonna suggest writing Marry Me or Marry Mum or whatever you can fit lol in nail polish on Dodge's back one night after Andy's gone to bed. Then he'll find it when he next goes to the cage to feed/clean/cuddle him! Maybe use a happy colour this time...unless he's over his shoe issues :lol:

yeah but thats what we want.... we are both very family orientated and are very close.... we've got another series of test to do in 6wks... which is enough time for me to cover the ring for him.... and we'll go from there with the timing issue.....

it would be more upsetting for the both of us having to run off and elope etc without having our families be there to enjoy the day with us.... we are tryin to keep things nice and normal....

That is so sad - I'm almost crying - Good luck though i wish that it is more like 2 years rather than months. What is his most favourite thing in this world? Cars? Animals? Find the BIGGEST event for his fave thing and take him. Make sure he has THE BEST day of his life at at the end - before you leave make a huge public specitcle. Get down on one knee (the lot) and tell him everything you said it=n your thread & propose. If nothing else it will be a great story to tell eveyone later (mrs here)
