On Thursday night I lost my beloved bearded dragon to Egg Peritonitis. She was two years old and lived with another female. Neither of them had been near nor seen a male but she still produced eggs. Unfortunately one of the eggs exploded inside her resulting in death.
This all happened within a matter of 24-48hours, she was fine when I checked on them Wednesday but by the time I got home from work on Thursday night she was pale with a very black beard, very bloated and wouldn’t open her eyes.
I took her to the Animal Emergency Vet as it was after 6pm and no reptile vet was open, they admitted her overnight on oxygen and heat however she passed away in the early hours of the morning.
I guess the reason for my post today is to share my story with others and to find out if anyone else has heard/seen this happen.

So sorry to hear your loss, sounds like you did everything you could to help her. R.I.P Phoenix

I'm not sure hope one of the beardie experts can help you out with this question. And I'm so sorry about the loss
