i will have stock by the end of this week greebs, prices are forth coming and will be posted on my site asap (once the hosting problems are sorted out) hopefully by the end of this week i will make a post to let everyone know though

they contain the whole rabbit, bones, lungs, liver, heart, kidneys the lot

What about that rabbit gut smell? I could see that being about the only drawback.

OH MY GOD did u say click clacks? 5.7 litre please :D

i personally would be hesitant to use the sausages unless each rabbit was made into 1 sausage which is rather unpractical (or is that impractical :? ) if they're all minced into 1 machine then pumped out into sausages they're not necessarily all gonna have everything a whole rabbit does if u know what i mean...
basically when ur feeding a whole animal you can see what you're getting.

I can say one thing about this and i'm not having a go at anyone.

Lazziness,

I've seen these in the US and they haven't really taken off.

Why not just use rodents or whole rabbits? What major advantages do these have? Besides price i can't see a valid one, in fact i see more advantages with whole rodents.
I try to mimick nature as much as possible, feeding whole rodents gives them a chance to work while eating, getting past the legs and so on, Stretching the jaw.

Sausages can't provide much of effort on the snakes part.

Do they have solid bone and fur in them, why are the guts taken out.

I would not feed these to my snakes personally but if people do IMO it should not be the whole diet.

lol phil its just zoe-logic...makes sense to me!

plus i thiink what no one said really sums it up. maybe every now and then if they take them easily but not as a sole diet.

yes they have bone and fur in them, they have the stomach taken out because the acids in the stomach become toxic after sitting.

I wouldnt call it laziness i would call it practical, rabbits are better nutritionally then rats and mice and therefore better for your snake.

As far as not using them unless it was a whole rabbit that was minced that is somewhat impractical as a sausage the size of a pinkie mouse would contain more nutritional value then the pinkie, but if you want to feed a full rabbits worth of sausage to your hatchie id love to be there to watch.

The mincing process blends all of the parts of the rabbit ensuring that you get a complete blend in each sausage.

I am not saying that you must use them it is entirely up to yourself but for me the choice is easy.

Low price, high nutritional value = happy healthy snakes i dont know about all of you but that is all i am ever trying to achieve.... Happy healthy snakes.

Hatchies cant fit in a whole rabbit

major advantages are that they are better nutritionally then mice and rats therfore better for your snake

I know people who feed chicken necks and chicken pieces to their RRBS.
What some people call laziness others call convenience.

it's a bit like the tree falling in the woods, it does make a sound even though no one is there to hear it

yeah that is the best option for full grown snakes.. i mean i can get them no probs at all but not all snakes can take them

Does it contain solid bone like sculls, backbones, ribs, teeth?

It might be nutritionally better but that doesn't mean it's better for the snake, not very mentally stimulating which i think is an important part of keeping reptiles so i wouldn't say happy.
If all people are worried about is nutritional health for there reptiles why not just tube feed them, they get everything they need for it nutritionally.
You have to fined a balance.
I have over 40 snakes feeding on rodents and i've never had to supplement their food.

How do you know you have a complete blend in each sausage? Is there the equivilant amount of fur compared to a similar sized rodent?

I still can't see how they are better, except in price which should not be an issue when it comes to keeping reptiles.

Reptiles are not domestic animals, which means they need to be kept in conditions similar to the wild.
I think they would be a better lizard food than snake, but not as the entire diet.

and you are entitled to your opinion.... but have you tried it ....... once you do i am sure you will change your tune

Have you? How long have you been using them? What are the long term results from using them?

I'm not having a dig at you, that is not my intention.

yeah i have .... as i have said previously in this post.... whats the long term effect of feeding rabbits as a whole ..... think of them like that they are not a sausage that you get from the butcher they are a complete rabbit in a natural skin, nothing artificial or added... just a bunny thats all
