Hi
about 6 Months ago I Purchased a Beautiful Pair of Smoth Knob-Tailed Gecko's
they have been together in the same enclosure for the whole time no dramas
I noticed that the female was shedding on Friday nite at feed time but was looking bit puffer than normal . I was really hoping that she was gravid and I was going to have some eggs. Upon checking her on Saturday nite I found her Life less under her hide and her tail ripped off and the male laying on top of her ...
I got her straight out of the enclosure and into a separate tub and had planed to take her to the vet this morning but sadly my beautiful girl had passes away
the reason of my post is
A . has any one ever heard of this before ???
B. the breeder that I got them off said that they were fine to share a tank is that correct ???
C I would like to get an autopsy done is it possible on such a small animal
D. should I be worried is there a Disease it could be and if so could it be now passed on to any of my other Reptiles
I know that sometimes animals die and its nature but its my first death ever in my care and I am not taking it so well I would never want any harm to come to any animal especially one that's in my collection
thanks For looking any help would be great
