I picked my baby Rough Scale up 3 weeks ago from the airport, and brought her home to her new home. I'm new to snake's as I took purchase of my Uluru woma 2 months prior. Both baby's. My woma will eat the leg off a horse but my baby Roughie wouldnt eat. I have continually read and re read your thoughts insights and knowledge for the past month trying to be patient with a snake that is in beautiful condition but wouldnt eat. I have been somewhat freaking out but you all said be patient, so i have been. Tonight I tryed the warm egg yolk on my hairy fuzzie, Yet again my roughie looked at it & smelled it but was turning away, I than began to riggle it, not in her face, but close. this went on for awhile while i aloud her to wander on top of the click clack. I seen her frikin yawn which freaked me out, then she did it again to which I took as she was trying to want to take it, then bam she took her first meal. I had probably tryed feeding her previously, maybe 4 times prior to this. thankyou to all. Im stoked.

It is so so good when they finally eat, all sorts of things go through your head when they are refusing, especially when the breeder supplys a feeding record and there were no pevious probs, things like are my temps ok, are the pinkies/fuzzies at the right temp, are they still stressed for some reason, should i move them from where they are in case traffic is keeping them stressed........then they eat and all those niggling worries go out the window, it's a good feeling, congrats m8......................................................Ron
