Hi all!
I am planning to buy a Stimmo and have a few questions regarding the enclosure for it. They may seem a little basic (and perhaps stupid!) but I am a noob so I need some advice!
1. What dimensions should it be? (initially the little one will be housed in a click clack but i'm planning for later on)
2. Do stimmos climb much? (I've read contradicting info on this an am a little confused?
3. Is a wood enclosure with glass sliding doors better than a predominantly glass enclosure? (with regard to humidity)
4. Do I need a heat pad and a heat lamp in the enclosure?
5. Where should the temp probes be located?
That's if for now... but I'm sure I'll think of some more!

I'm also a newb but can answer these, as i asked them not long ago, as many others have.

1. 600x450x450 is big enough for an adult stimo but some like to house in bigger
2. they are terrestrial, but it wouldn't hurt to put a couple of branches etc
3. wood with glass front is best as it retains heat the best, and easier to maintain heat gradient
4. you dont need both. most guys on here seem to run with heat matts for there stimsons macs etc, but either way would be fine
5. i have my thermostat probe near my warm. monitor with a thermometer and adjust accordingly

A heat mat will do the job while your Stimmy is in a click-clack, but a heat lamp (with a cage on it) will be better for a larger enclosure.

surprisingly my stimsion does perch to bask closer to the heat, every night.

my stims climb the prob from the thermo all the way to the roof and all round the cage.
the more branches you put in the more room they have each branch makes more floor space giveing them the opp to use the whole cage (not just the floor)
cheers

Thanks Chase and Shellfish - V. helpful!
zuesowns and daryl - that's what I've been hearing from owners, even though the literature says they are terrestrial - I think I will include some climbing branches etc.

Oh yeah does anyone use the heated rocks for pythons or are they more for the lizards?
