i cuurently have 2 beardies that were born in november and late december im pretty sure there the same sex they both have 1 slot under there tail but i cant remember if that means there male or female any help and advice would be greatly appreciated or if anybody can post me a picture of underneath the tails of both sexes THANKS

They all have slots under their tails, wider slot usually means female..

Wider slots usually means male jibba, the wider opening allows their hemipenes to pop out during breeding.

Easiest way, is that males (when old enough) develop 2 hemi-penal bulges, 1 under each side of the base of their tales...

other way around ;)

the cloaca of a male is wider, as he needs to protrude his hemipenes

thanks very much for the advice and especially the photo what age should these bulges become clear

My beardie (around 12 or so weeks) seems to have a MAJOR 'female' bulge - a single bulge at the base of the tail that really protrudes, when you look from the side it's like a little pea!

Can I be pretty sure it's a girl?

I didn't bother checking mine until they were about 2-3 months old. I was right with 3 and the 4th didn't have much to go on but at about 5 months I thought female and was right again. I had no other experience but went by the bulges and my 4th girl had a head shape that was like the other girls-less triangular than my boy.
