Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has photo's of a snake before they shed. possibly close up of its eyes and skin.
And also would snakes eye's change color only when they shed? or depending on moods or stress?
Cheers :D

Hen a snake goes into wedding it's eyes will go opaque ( a cloudy blue) this will last a few days to a week. Then they will go clear and it's skill will go a bit wrinkley, then approx a few days to a week after this it will shed. The whole process takes about 2 weeks. When it goes from the opaque blue to clear is wen you should apply water spray or see mist daily until its shed. Be sure not to few during this time, I'f the snake takes food it will only slow down the shedding process.
Will try get photos up as my diamond is currently opaque

Geez I hate auto correct on iPhone, take a look at my spelling lol

Here's a Darwin adult about to shed (blue eye):

and when he is freshly shed:

Albinos get more pale, although the eye change is hard to spot.

If the skin gets very wrinkly like this, you are in for a difficult slough and should give the snake a soak ASAP:

Here's a good job of sloughing in progress:
