plus if you go to a specialist rep vet he may be able to confirm pregnancy

i opened up both the mouths and the female seems to have abit of saliva to the sides of her jaw. the male had none and the female had a little that was the only difference which i think mean RI any way shes going to the vet

a very sad ending

so because i have only had this lizard for about 72 hours i contacted the breeder or the seller and toldhim about my lizard.then today he said give her to me you shouldnt have to pay for a vet bill considering she was sick before you got her so i was going to drop her off tomoz at nine.so today i put her in a warm tub with news paper shredding thats it. i came back to see her struggling to poo foam coming out of her eyes and mouth and wacking her head. within half an hour of this she died. i am SO UPSET shingles are my favourtie lizard and only now have i ever had them as pets i spent 100o dollars on reptiles and set up. but that means squat to see her like this. i mean i have only had her literally 2 days pciked her up tuesday 12.00pm. the breeder has been good full refund on both lizards but its not about that. i have been wanting these lizards for so long and now i have to see beside BUTCH and watch her die. i feel so bad. i know some will say you should of taken her to a vet but i mean i didnt know untill i first posted on here less than 48 hours ago

oh geez Mike, im so sorry to hear that. i wouldnt have thought she'd go downhill so fast,....makes me wonder if the vet trip would have done anything or if it was already to late,...

nice of the seller to be so good about it, but as u said, its really not about the $.

yeh to tell you the truth i feel like ####. from the first bit of foam i saw she died with 20 minutes just but her in the freezer but man i got teary the poor animal it look in so much pain. i have been looking forward for this for so long. i have had various reptiles pythons skings dragons but none have ever died. seeing the animal like that and knowing there wasn't much i could do.

on tipping her upside down. it's abvious she was heavy because of the fluid coming out of its mouth

i know the feeling mate, even when you know it isnt your fault it can really bring the mood down. Sorry to hear about it :(

ofcourse you feel like ###, what a devastating thing to have to watch.

did u put her in the freezer for necropsy purposes, im pretty sure they cant do much once theyre frozen and should only be refrigerated, can someone confirm that?

its crazy how well they hide illness,...i cant believe there was only slightly more saliva than the healthy male, i would have thought so close to dying she'd be rasping and gurgling like the beardy i mentioned earlier.

dont let this experience put u off shingles though, theyre such lovely creatures.
