Start a woodie colony asap......will cost you only carrots and a handful of rat pellets every now and then. Check out the herpshop for setup etc

Cheers

down here in s.a reptile city.. $500 its setting me back

im thinking it would only be like 2 boxes of crickes a week.. might look at breeding woodies.. do they smell can i keep them in a hot room?? where can i buy them from cheers

I got my set up from 'Woodies For Sale', a member on APS. Bought the starter colony and haven't looked back. Now have two woodie colonies going and I haven't been to the pet shop to buy crickets in AGES. (Which is good because they cost an arm and a leg).

Initial woodie set up cost about $80 I think.. But well worth it. Has paid for itself many times over already. They do smell a bit funky though.

I am getting two ackies in 3 weeks too!

I just ordered a baby ackie :D We had a visitor at our local herp meeting who has eggs a month away from hatching. I cannot wait to get him/her. I already have a name picked out - LC - prounounced Elsie - short for LCD.

hey guys got my ackies today there going sweet crazy little things find every gap to squeeze into... yer im looking into the woodies found a website that sells 1000 for 90 bucks.. see what happens ay..

they handle really well too considering they like not even a month old...
