snake with ticks

Help! I have just picked up a snake I am baby sitting for a friend only to find it has three ticks! I usually use metho and then tweezers to remove them from most other things, but I haven't removed one from a snake before... is this method ok?

Swab ticks with olive oil via cotton bud, they will suffocate, die and drop off.

thanks for that, I managed to pull off four with the tweezers and have oiled one thats in deep.

just pull them off, whats the deal with putting stuff on them just pull them off

Are they ticks or mites? I would be treating it as if they are mites if i were you. You could either dip the snake in a permoxin solution and sterilize your enclosure with the same solution or use TOD.

they are certainly ticks, the one I can't get at is very deeply embedded under the scales and I dont want to accidently yank on a scale.
