my spotted is getting lazy when eating, he used to strike and squeeze his mice hard out, but over the last 4 months hes gotten lazy and barely strikes and doesnt really squeeze properly, anyone got any ideas on how to get him back to normal?

If he is still eating you dont have a problem!
We have quite a few that dont '' strike feed'' as such

if he is still eating fine then i dont see any problems, some snakes just dont strike all the time.

had a similar problem with my coastal boy over the last 4 months or so. He got really shy bout his feeding and wouldn't take from the tongs. I accidently got supplied the wrong size food but using small instead of med rats made him a little more discontent and now he is back to being an eating machine.... food size is going back up next week....

So either drop the food size or regularity.... Make him a little more hungry for it....

Why want to make him change? Your snake is fine. He simply knows that when you've got a rat, he's going to get fed. Why should he bother fighting for it?

Maybe he knows it's dead and therefore has no need to "kill" it. Nothing wrong with that.
