Thermostat Help/Advice

I am setting up a new home for a little guy that i hope to be getting soon and i am at the stage where i have to look at what Thermostats to use. In the past i have used MicroClimate ones but the ones i have used up til now arent generally used with lights.

I have been reading a little bit about the HerpTraders new thermostats --> LivingEarth. The 300W one seems to want to do the job i need it to but it is a brand i havnt heard much about. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with them on here and can give me any... reviews i guess

If there is a thermostat that would do a better job or is more reliable, please dont hesitate to mention that to me either. I am just shopping around at this stage so any help would be very much appreciated.

I haven't had any experience with LivingEarth thermostats but all I can advise is that if it comes from HerpTrader then it will be good quality. They don't muck around with dodgey crap.

What are your requirements? What do you want it to run? What are your plans for the future- breeding?

Some time down the track i would like to do a little bit of breeding mainly for experience sake but yeah, For the moment, it will be controlling one main basking light and thats about it.

I would get a microclimate B1ME its a dimming thermostat with "magic eye" for a night time drop in temp, I use them atm and they work great.

I have to agree with Geck82 you could also go for the microclimate B1 dimming which is the model down it just depends how much you are willing to spend... though the B1ME is a better thermostat...

i have just had a bit of a read about the thermostats you mentioned ans as i said i have used MicroClimate before and was VERY happy with how well it did the job.

URS dont sell to online sites, They do have their own site that you can order off www.ultimatereptiles.com.au but you will most likely be able to pick one up for the same price if not cheaper from a local pet shop, Especially once you factor in the freight costs.
