My large, nearly 14 month old Bredli is due for a feed tomorrow night. Only problem is he's due for a shed as well. He's had blue eyes that cleared up a couple of days ago so can't be far off. He did drop some urates on Monday but hasn't crapped his last 2 feeds. He looks like he needs one though. I find he doesn't crap when he's due to shed then seems to do them in close succession.

I know if I offer it he'll eat it but should I or should I wait till afterwards? I know there's no harm in waiting but is there any harm in him having the rat?

Cheers

Steve

So long as you are feeding fresh killed or frozen it will not matter
Most of my babies have fed while close to shedding

You will probably find it will 'crap' as it is shedding as rolling the skin down will help this

I would wait until it has shed,,..... I normally wait until after and then offer my boy a feed the next day...

it all really depends on what the snake wants, if it wants it, it will eat it, if it dont, it wont

Wait until it sheds, I doubt that if in the wild they feed every 7 or 10 days on the dot.
