Smittiferous

Hi guys/girls
Ever since I picked up my tristis in early March, he's had a ring of dried discharge around his nostrils that comes and goes, and I once observed him blowing a snot bubble while eating a mouse.
He's been wormed and I've already taken him to a vet, who did vet things (physical/oral examination, blood and faecal matter slides) but didn't find anything at all. He prescribed a course of antibiotics anyway and my tristis is now into his second week of an antibiotic course, but doesn't seem to be making an improvement, in fact displayed the worst amount of discharge I've seen so far tonight:
I'm taking him back to see the vet this week when his course runs out, so I'm asking if anyone has seen something like this before so I can bring it to Dr Simpson on the next visit? He appears to be behaving normally, quite active during the day until early evening then sets up in his hide log, has a feed then goes to sleep. Feeding response is also extremely strong.
