I checked all my levis hatchies this morning and all were fine. I then checked them this afternoon when I got home to find one of my hatchies not being able to move it's back legs properly. They were all running around fine last night and feeding well too. They are a week old. What could have caused this to happen??? What is there that I can do to help fix this situation???

Regards
Mitch

is there a difference in size of the hatchlings being housed together?

Hope its not the patternless

Na there's no difference in size of the hatchies. They are separated now. Am thinking that maybe the other hatchie bit it on the leg but not to sure. Thought it may have been dehydrated due to the heat up here today but was fine after yesterday and got misted last night.

Just keep an eye on it , should settle itself if its not too serious

is it still going about its motions ? active ?

Yeah I'm keeping an eye on it. Yeah it's still active, just not walking it's beat that's all. I have my fingers crossed that it gets better tonight.

G'day Mitch. I have had what you are describing happen to one that hatched two weeks ago. No movement in the back legs all it could seem to do was roll over on it's back. The problem started before it's first shed. I kept on misting it not wanting to dehydrate and to help it shed. After it shed everthing was ok. Still don't know what was wrong.

Yeah I've been misting it coz I don't want it dehydrating and it has it's head up and is alert and licks the water. I have sprinkled some calcium on the tip of it's nose and it licked it up. It had it's first shed just a couple of nights ago so I'm very confused on what's going on. I guess it's just a waiting game now.

Na not bloated at all, looks completely fine and normal. Just when it walks you can tell something isn't right
