why is he not eating

hi plz help me my snake is not eating he has never said no to food he had something 5 days ago i left it in there with him and he has not taken it why is something up:?:?:?:?:?

what kind of snake? how old? if it is a python, any older than 3 months I wouldnt worry about it, you fed him 5 days ago. if he doesnt eat in 2 more weeks. Then start to consider alternatives.

Chill out, mine hasn't had anything for 3 weeks, but still seems fine, I think it must be shed time due to the amount of time he has spent in the water,he/she has been crawling around under my shirt on my shoulder for about an hour.

Snakes can go a long time without a feed, unlike us who struggle between brekky and morning tea.

Make sure your temps in the enclosure are right.

agreed. more info. my snake was eating weekly (2 months ago), but with winter coming and just having shed last night, he hasnt shown interest in 3 weeks, and if he doesnt "assume the position" i wont offer food.

I am pretty new at this but they can go months through winter without eating, but yes, need to know how old etc.

his a bredli about 2 years old. i have other snakes and they ate fine so i dont think its the rats.
what temp do u guys suggest for them?? atm i have it as what the care sheet states.

2 of mine are coming up to there 5th week without food and one of those has only eaten once in8-9 weeks, both are still healthy and havn't lost any condition so don't worry
