Hey
Just then i noticed my hatchy woma looked very unwell. He has a lot of loose skin especially around the neck and it looks almost dry. When he breathes you can make out the bones that run down his body. I bought him about 2 weeks ago and he was fine then but he did have a bit of loose skin around his neck when in strike position. I am thinking dehydration but he only missed out on water for two days. He can't be too skinny as he was plump when i got him and fed one week ago.
I will try to get some pics up soon. I am very worried about him, What should i do?. Although nessasary sometimes please avoid the "vet asap" as if his condition deteriorates further i will take him in.
cheers eden

I wouldn't be waiting for him to deteriorate before taking him in. A small animal looses condition and deteriorates very quickly. Don't wait or it may be too late :(

can you give us more info?, temps, has it pooded, was it normal?, what did you feed it?. the more info you can give the more likely someone can help.
cheers

set up in a 7 litre sistima, paper towel as substrate, heat cord under a third or the tub. The temp is around 33 degrees with the exact same set up next to it with my female who is fine. Fed last week on a hopper mouse and yes it has passed it. Was fine then

thats what i was thinking but this is a bit far past that, i will get pics up hopefully in about half an hour

It sounds to me from the little information you have provided that a: it "looks" skinny as it has gone from having a digesting rodent in its system to passing it and b:the loose baggy skin around its neck is usually a tell tale sign a slough is coming pretty soon.
However if in doubt a trip to the vet is worth it for peace of mind.

How is he going? Could you post a pic up of the pair please? I want to see what they look like

he looks better, more like he is going to shed
our new camera has too much resolution to post pics on here, trying to work out how to bring down quality or something
you can see them this weekend

mine sorta has the same thing even when i bought him at the latest expo

yeah mine did too. it was a little skinny and i just fed it once every 4 days and it's good now.
