Anyone ever used post express to send/receive a Bearded dragon. Have this as nearly the only option of transport, but don't want to do it if there's any dangers to the beardies. Apparently frogs & turtles are fine with it.
Thanks for any hints - Kathy

No I'm not joking! The sender said that was her option, it was up to me. That's why I want to find out.
WAIT - it's OK, rang them myself & its prohibited to send anything other than insects of certain types ------ & there must be a reason for that me thinks.
Sorry about the post - I should've been more patient

:)Yes there is a reason. There's a very high chance your animal would arrive dead. Glad you made the effort to find out.:)

your kidding arent you? if thats the only way you can have a beardie or any animal transported dont buy it. i think if you check with australia post you will find that they dont except live animals through their post

Its totally illegal to send reptiles through the post yet there are still some well known breeders who send via Australia Post. If you want to look into it it is a federal offence but of whose who I know who got caught only got charged by their wildlife authority for incorrect labelling etc if the animals were legally purchased. Moral is dont send them through the mail or agree to recieve them through the mail.

Guys do you know, now that I've already rung & found out, how EMBARRASED I am that I even posted this!

I am going to try the fax idea though:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Thanks for all looking out for the critters we love to keep!
Kathy

My crickets get crushed enough - I'd hate to think of someone posting a lizard

Where is the logic? Squashing crickets is ok but squashing beardies isn't?

If I felt bad about killing crickets, how could I feed them to lizards ;) Its the same at uni - you don't need animal ethics approval for invertebrates. Besides I don't like my postman squashing my crickets - they are quite expensive!

was his name jerry on petlink?

the smae guy who offered me things off licence and said eh would send some central netteds by express post
9 in a box LOL

Ask for COD, or cash on delivery, which is where you pay for the item when it arrives.... Grab the package and run!!! Hahahaa

Everyone take note - never sell anything to midnightserval:lol::lol:

crickets?.....BEARDIES.........crickets?.........BEARDIES

Guys, I didn't do this to start a witch hunt. The decision whether to post or not was left in my ballcourt, I'm just pleased I did the homework & didn't just say yes. :)
