Hey Guys,
Around 8 weeks ago, my brother in law was house sitting for me, and left the pythons door open after feeding him, and he escaped. So several weeks later, we gave up searching for him, and purchased a new one. Since then, we moved house last weekend, and my cat found him yesterday...
hi every1,

Christinus marmoratus
Marbled Gecko"s
Unknown 10 cm Adult 2 $100 (each)
hello all this is one add off rdu and yes any one can sell there animals for the price they name but i thought marbled geckoes for 100 each is a bit steep. Any input appreciated
cheers
Does anyone have any legal Burton's? The only legal ones i have ever come across were research permit ones. I suspect that due to their difficult husbandry requirements that they are very uncommon within the hobby (due to being picky eaters etc) but just want to gauge their availability.
Thanx
Hello I live in Queensland and wonder how far the Asian House Gecko has moved though out australia and if it has moved into the colder states it is met to be the most widely traveled reptile in the world .when you have them you don,t have white tails or redbacks or very few of them as thay eat...
Hi everyone,
I would like to start keeping geckos in the next year or two, and I've started reading up on their requirements and care. I have a few questions for the experienced gecko keepers here.
Which species would you recommend for a beginner?
I know it's not safe to house two males...
Hi all,
I was just out having a smoke, looking up to the underside of my veranda at some geckos. I then thought to myself, Buddy could eat one of them. So I decided to hopp online and ask the question. Is it safe to feed my pet snake wild animals? And if it is, does anyone know if small...

perviously i have been told that leopard geckos are illgeal in aust, but there's so much information from australian sites on how great they are so beginners. since then i've found a breeder who insists they are legal in australia and he's been breeding them for many years. however i can't find...
Hi,
This is my first post, our kids got some Geckos for Christmas. We have had lots of fun feeding and watching them.
Last week 1 gecko which we think is the female has stopped eating crickets. She will not eat them at all, however when we offer meal worms than she will happily eat them...
hey all i found this in my backyard one night its some sort of skink. judging from the picture i have found in the book "a complete guide to reptiles of australia" im thinking it is a Anomalopus leuckartii there was no common name for it. please feel free to correct me if im wrong as i would...
I'm having a bit of frustration with my female Smooth Knobtail gecko (N. Levis Levis). She's an adult, I'm not sure exactly how old, and has never bred while I've had her (6months).
In the past few weeks she's put on a lot of weight, and her tail has shrunk. She's eating and pooping regularly...
You write a full structured sentence but must be in question form and try to follow the story and theme.
For example if the theme was buying some eggs from the grocer, and the first question is:
Would you like to buy these eggs?
Then you could answer as:
Are you trying to sell me...
So I got bored and today's the cleaning day of the enclosures. Well I often get sick of seeing the same enclosures every damn day so I decided to do a little renovating of all three lizard enclosures. Included are photos of the Asian House Gecko's and Bearded Dragon's enclosures. I won't show my...
i have been searching some old threads and many pictures of peoples enclosures have vanished! Here is your chance to show everyone your prized enclosure! Initially i was searching for some good designs to copy, so i could build another for my fast-growing jungle, but now i am just interested to...
Tonight I went to cover my birds, and about an hour later i noticed the cover was slighty off and it looked like a leaf, had a closer look and found its a little gecko.lizard thing lol, Sorry its such a bad angle Will get more pics of the little one tomorrow morning, or night, as its been...
I recently bought another gecko and I'm not entirely sure but she looks pregnant. Obviously, she's a little fatty but when she's pressed up against the glass, I can see two distinct white patches on her lower belly. Perhaps this is just part of her pattern though? I'm not quite sure though. I...
Passed the window of our bedroom and sprung a pair of Geckos doing the horizontal / vertical tango. This I imagine would be a fairly rare thing to catch with a camera especially from this angle....Scott
So today I added some more things to my Beardie's enclosure and he just loves it. Been exploring everything. It's amazing that he can balance on the very end of leaves without falling off. He loves his little hammock aswell. It's a pity he'll grow out of the tank soon enough. What lizard would...
So I bought a new gecko today who I've called Salem. He's a U. Milii Gecko and a great handler. Thanks Ian, I'm very happy with him. I went out and bought a nice large enclosure an put both Cujo and Salem into the one. It's not looking all that great right now but will be even better soon. Cujo...
I was wondering if there are any reptile species in NSW listed as exempt for the purposes of feeding to reptile eaters(other reptiles, not people from asian countries)
I bought a little Asian House Gecko yesterday from a pet shop yesterday selling him as pet food. I couldn't bear to let the little guy die so I bought him and set up a nice little home for him. He seems to really enjoy climbing up all the branches and laying on his rocks (the tank the pet store...
Ok so is the skink the Asian House Gecko's everyone keeps talking about? Found him under my bed and decided it wasn't a suitable habitiat for him;)
The other little guy I found in the pool wich is strange coz its only about 15C here today and normally they only end up in there when the dam is...

Unless prohibited under local regulations it is ok to keep a range of animals such as AHGs and hares that would make great feeder animals or pets(Qld only).
Anyone got some hares?
The following is the responce i got from NRW.
Is anyone else sick of seeing ads on Petlink for free reptiles? "if anyone has any reptiles to give away I will take them if they're free and give them a good home" blah blah blah. Can you say "scab"?
Hey there,
Everyone here probably knows snakes are escape artists...
I recently purchased a 4 foot aquarium tank and have replaced the glass top with a wooden/mesh roof for breathing, lighting and heating (if required).
My snake doesn't come home with me for about a week and a half...
i was wondering if it was safe (or legal :D ) to catch geckos and skinks from the

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help, I have this gecko living in and around my house.
I'm hoping he is native and not the introduced Asian species.
Is anyone able to determine what species he is? Photos are attached.
Cheers
:-)
I have been trying to stop a persistent Kamakazi Asian House Gecko getting into my Stimmie's enclosure. It must have been suicidal as it would keep getting in there.
I busted my Stimmie last night with enough time to see the last half of that Gecko sliding down it's mouth. While I could see...
Come on guys, this is getting a bit silly if we can't even talk about cats without a whole thread being deleted. Either that or it has been moved under a rock somewhere. I think this is moderation taken a little too far.
Hi all, just snapped this quick shot of two asian house gecko's mating (yes I know they're a pest). This is the first time I've seen any form of lizard species mating in the wild so I though I'd just pop it up.
I was cleaning out my shed today, getting ready for the big move to Darwin and I saw some geckos. I'm used to seeing the asian house gecko but these things had a great pattern on them. One was a bit lighter than the others and had small spines on the tail. Would these be native gecko's?
I also...
I was moving some stuff around my yard today and found a colony of geckos. This one is quite pregnant with very visible eggs inside. The other 4 were similar but varying in colour and pattern. They also have bright red dots on top of each of their toes. Just curious as to what they are, as they...
Hi all,
In response to a special request ... here are some pics of what is possibly one of the world's most endangered and least understood elapids...
Why endangered?
Put simply PNG is facing a Bufo marinus-led ecological disaster on a scale that is unprecedented. Cane toads have...
In my travels though SE Qld I have been hearing lots of AHGs calling. While the calls from buildings were not unexpected I am also hearing then from trees, in particular palm trees. When I was here last (Five years ago) they were resticted to houses so they seem to be wideing thier micro habitats.
ive been doing a bit of reading on green tree snakes and i came across an article a while ago now that said they let off a stench if strested but my father is currently in north qld and he was moving a wild one. it was only a baby but he said it didnt smell at all.
so can they let off a stench...
Hello,

Hi everyone, I've been offered a large Burton's Legless Lizard (Lialis burtonis) (and possibly some hatchling/juvies) and I'm trying to dig up as much info on them as I can.
Such questions I still need more info on are:
1. What's the best substrate for them? (A lightly moistened mix of...
Heres two species that have decided its a good thing to living around our yard, one a legless lizard...Delma tincta?, what a beautiful leggless lizard, you can see how small its hind legs are, ....The gecko a residient of the shed; Oedura castelnaui, northern velvet, is common around here... the...
