Westy, you are barely an adult yourself....when you have kids I'll talk about whether I'm overreacting or not  .

Sammie, you might have different standards for your kids than I do, that's your life and your kids. If a 10 year old or so clicked on the link that I was referring to earlier, believe me, it would be something that would have a bad effect on a child. If you read anything about parenting and the childhood of pedophiles/sexual deviants, etc, it has been proven that this sort of exposure at a young age has a dramatic affect on young children, and a very bad one in some cases. But most parents of 10 year old budding herpers would have a problem with them reading some of the stuff that has been on here.

I wouldn't be whinging if the welcome page carried a warning that the mods do their best to delete offensive posts not suitable for children, but they can't be here 24/7. Most parents scan the welcome pages of websites before they let their children go for it. At least then they would be aware that it is possible that their children may read adult content.

Children 10 years or so would most likely be more "upset" and "disturbed" by photos that are posted here showing the results of when people get nailed by their snakes and showing poor mice and rats been eaten by nasty pythons.

children 10 years or so shouldnt be on the net unsupervised anyway

 Mine are too young, as I said. I'm talking about the thousands of parents that don't supervise, or check it over once.

I'm not even going to bother Pk, and the statement you agreed with that kids being exposed to snakes eating rats is worse than being exposed to sexual violence just explains why I'm not going to bother.

and BTW, there was no need to shout, I didn't once question or attack your parenting standards or what you do. I said that yours may be different to mine, I don't even know you

Just get over it, what's the problem with wanting to protect kids on a FAMILY site from the sex crap that goes on here.

It was simple..

Thanks David. :)

I'm out.

It's interesting, by the way, the number of herp-related posts that appear in Chit Chat! I move some of them when I see them, but I was wondering why that is. Any thoughts on this anyone?

I reckon it's because some people like to talk herps with other fun people rather than the religeously herpetological boffin types :)

this is short and sweet spider women who cares.biuld a bridge and get over it.reptiles, flirting, cars the beach whatever the interest is in other people on this site should not bother you unless you take interest in it.people on here clearly like each other thats why they are here.i dont think any one should be the judge of how different people socialise and comunicate after all have you any friends on here through being social and talking about more than just a reptile.
