Hello all. I am a new snake owner (5 month old spotted) and have just noticed a very small discolouration on my snakes neck (about 1cm around), he shed last week and it was a perfect shed. As usual i cleaned his click clack and his poo is larger and brown, but still pretty hard, but it isn't white like it usually is. Does my snake have diarreah (can't spell) and does anyone know of a good snake vet brisbane southside?

also if anyone wants a shot at diagnosing what it could be that would be helpful.

Cheers

Umm mine does it often but the poo has a bit of white at the end is the foods bones

The white part of a snake's poo is urate.

It's perfectly fine for the snake to have no urates in one poo. Have long have you had it? Usually, I find, snakes will do one or two little poos with lots of urate, then have a mega black or brown one over the span of a couple of days to a week. Most people recommend that you can feed the snake again after this larger one has been passed, as it signals that most of the digestion has taken place.
