In Victoria we have the basic and advanced licence.

Basic- Coastals, Shinglebacks, Green Tree Frogs etc.
Advanced- Green Tree Pythons, Frilled Necked Lizards, Woma Pythons etc.

All states and Territories are different in regards to their licensing systems.

Ppl do develop their own language but with NSW you have Class 1 and Class 2 licenses. Class 2 has a basic and 3 categories. With Class 2 you have to hold what they call Basic Class 2 (non-venomous) for 12 months before you can apply for Class 2 Category 1.

License classes are different in each state. In the NT we can have any non-venomous snake on a standard license that can anyone can get :D woot!
