I had one Katherine form Spiney Tail gecko egg in the incubator for about 2 months. It would of been my first Spiney Tail hatchie so I was pretty excited. It hatched and sort of looked like it was having trouble getting out of the egg,I had a look and it had a bit of vermiculite stuck to its body and seemed to be just trying to get that last little push out of the egg so I thought I would leave it alone to do its thing and not disturb it. I went away and had some lunch and after 20 mins it got the better of me and I went and had a peak. What I found was a dead hatchie with its head stuck in the egg (the rest of its body was out of the egg). My guess is it suffocated. I am so upset that this happened because I know that if I had pulled the egg off the little guys head that first time it would be alive today. I just thought it was best to leave it alone. Has this type of thing happened to anyone else?
