How do I convince the other half we need more!!!

Ok so here's my problem, I have 1 stimson python and I want more!!! Id like to get another snake or a Beardy, BUT the other half thinks I dont need anymore! I know hes wrong and we need more!!! Plus we have just been given a 4ft fish tank with stand I could convert (I know the probs I will have with heating but its free)!!!

So my question is how do I bring him round so I can get more?!? I dont want to just rock up home with something new and say "well its here now" as he would not be happy and I would have to get rid of it if i did it that way! I was thinking his birthday is in feb and I could get something for him/me and get it in that way!! hahaha!! But Id like to here how others worked through this issue with there other halfs and what works or does not work!!!

Point out that vampire bats and giant spiders are terrified of pythons. Also if he has even a whiff of small morelia on him saltwater crocodiles will run screaming into the distance (and huge fish will instantly suicide on his fishing tackle)........

If that doesnt work tell him you ARE GETTING ONE and then do it!

from a males point of view do not give him a reptile as a present if he is no into them,sure give him a cool present for his birthday then bring up more reptiles when he is in a good mood,or extra loving will all ways work.
but seriously if you know someone who has a bearded dragon ask to loan it for a week or two tell hubby that your friends are on holiday or something and they need a baby sitter for there lizard,i say beardie as they are easily handled and are quite animated get your hubby to hold it while you clean the cage or let it run around the house and do its thing,your husband wont be able to help himself but fall for the little guys.....

I just kept at it until he gave in!! My 3rd arrives in Feb, and we are getting beardies for our son in a week for his 6th birthday!
I'm pretty lucky though, hubby will pretty much let me get my way the majority of the time

LOL!! I do that all the time!! I keep saying "one more will not harm anyone!" His thinking is along the lines of "one is enough" ......... he has no idea that one is NOT enough and more is needed! hahaha!!

I think it has something to do with the fact we have 2 dogs, 1 cat, some fish and Charli (snake) and he thinks thats 2 much..... *Sigh* his family is not very big on animals/pets. they dont see them as amazing animals that make me happy. He just looks at the $$. Ill just keep at him till he tells me maybe... that's close enough to a yes in my eyes!!!
