towards the end of the 2g(or may have been when the 3g were released) touch's they released some with an updated software which were marketed by some stores as 3g

I have or now had a 16gig 3gs and did the update unfortunately all my songs were not able to fit on but it did prewarn me this might happen. (I used to work for the Applecare line in Brisbane here as an Iphone Advisor so i know a fair bit about the phone) The one thing that didn't go through smoothing is my customised ringtones the solution was restoring the phone and then restoring from backup this was found after tweeking. The day after i got the new Iphone 4s its great but the downside is my Tom Tom car kit cradle is not compatible with the new phone so i will have to buy a new one. but will donate it to my dad with my old phone.

With the release of IOS 5 i'm also a bit annoyed that they said Icloud would be supported for macs with Snow-Leopard on as their OS but now only show Lion as to what Icloud will be directly compatible with

my mac book pro is a first gen intel mac and Lion spec's are not supporting it and can't afford to get a new mac at this stage ( also have a G5 Imac sitting in the corner too lol.

the new update also extended to 2nd gen. apple tv but it really doesn't make much difference

you should find a simple solution to your problem with velcro.

I havent tried it with my 4s yet but sure it will be the same.

yeai had the first model of tom tom iphone docks and they were for 3g and 3gs at the time when i got it i have had a look on the apple website yesterday and found they have i new model of dock designed for the iphone 4 and 4s and 3 and 3gs so i have an outdated dock and can't charge my phone in the car with it now with my new phone and doesn't acknowledge each other for bluetooth either.

I was pretty sure I did.. I'm not so sure now lol I did get all my apps back thou, I just had to reinstall them again so no real harm done

All my friends seem to be having the same trouble as well!! The apps are on iTunes but for some reason aren't loading back on the iPhone until you do it manually

When your phone sync's normally it should show up the top of the screen its backing up first before it syncs. You can also request a manual backup by right clicking on the phone in the left hand column then click backup if your need more support on things like backing up etc go to apple.com/au/support/iphone just remember those that are not familier with the iphone etc. the iphone doesn't save contact info to the sim card.
