Hi guys,
I have Knob Tailed Geckos, on the Substrate of URS Red Desert Sand, and you know how they like to burrow, and you are suppost to keep it moist? Well, i Have a heat cord for there heating, which keeps drying up the sand, making it hard, they have already made burrows, so i dont want to pour water around it, so how will i make it moist?I tryed a little bit of spraying with one of those little spray bottles, but it doesnt really work? They are temporarly in a tub at the moment, until my work gets some 2ft fish tanks in again.

I keep the heat cord in there shallow end to stop the moist end drying out. Just add more water if it's dry, they won't have any trouble making new burrows.

Keep the heat chord on one side of the tank, that will be the shallow dry area. On the other half of the tank, keep it moist, but not wet. :)
