No, she's saying there's plenty of vets in your area that should be able to tell you the problem and the appropriate course of action So, you've been to a vet, then? What did they say?

so you are teling me if you went to a vet who had never had anything to do with snakes other than keep them in jars for people to look at and they said they were unsure of what it was and that they would try to get a sample from the lump you wouldnt want to throw a few ideas at hem as to what else it might be???????

If he was a good vet, he wouldve got in touch with another vet that has reptile knowledge and would be able to speak all the medical jargon about what it could be and how to do what ever treatment ....no use you saying blah blah when you arent sure yourself now ...your only getting speculated guesses off here, so better off not saying ...

I'm constantly lost in a maze bronsoneggbeater, but I always find may way out when I need to... You said that vets are difficult to find in Toowoomba - I beg to differ. ANY vet will be able to choose a path for diagnosis and treatment, pathology procedures vary little between species, so biopsy (if needed) would probably be the first step to solving your big mystery.

As has been said already, vets unfamiliar with reptiles will communicate (telephones, email, internet... more artefacts of the modern world which help with those living in remote situations... a vet can even send photos via email - amazing...) if you can't find a herp-experienced vet.

hes right i asked one vet in WARWICK QLD, if they would look at my snake because she formed two lumps on her neck and they refused because did not like snakes. but i found one in Warwick who looks at snakes i got antibiotics and a 5 days later the had gone and shes back to perfect health. just waiting for her to shed. she hasent shed since i got her. :S
