hi all, i have just been cleaning out my pythons enclosure and he not just had a huge poo but pooed in his water dish and it rely stinks like hits me at the back of the throat stink. what would cause this and shall i be concerned?
Also its like the £rd time in 2 weeks he has pooed and i don't think that is normal, any advise will be great please. thanks in advance.

all poop stinks, add water to poop and you get a diarrhea power up which double the smell. pythons' poop usually make up of the white urea, then most of the poop then the fur of the rat, sometimes they hold back the fur for a day so you think it did it twice.

I would be extremely concerned . my snake's poo doesn't stink , but either does mine :D I think rats smell more than mice and with lizards cockroaches smell worse than crickets --but others have disagreed in the past so I think is all relative

Yer it really does pong and most of it was in his litter bowl. I heard about not moving them if they got diarrhea... Should I try and give him a warm bath? Or clean around him or take him out and blits his enclosure again in the morning? I only scrubbed it like 3 days ago, everything inside and out. Knowing my luck the fur etc is prob what's in the bowl. I gave him a rabbit his 1st one I ever gave him last week would that have upset his tummy? He seemed verry unimpressed with me earlier. And I put some drift wood in his enclosure the other day, could that have made him I'll? If done this in the past and never had come across this in all my herping years, but I treated it we'll in a bleach solution and then after good rinsed and scribe with F10 sdfx veterinarian disinfection at a high 8ml per liter of filterd water. So do you reckon he's ok? I.Will see what His next poo is like and compare.

It's normal, don't worry about it.
Clean his enclosure as per normal and maybe leave it open to air out for a couple of hours if you really want. The reason it looks like diarrhea is because it's in the water bowl and has probably been soaking overnight. When a snake has diarrhea, you will know about it!

Dont give it a bath, it's not a human and it wouldn't appreciate it anyway. If it's his first rabbit then it's going to smell different from a rat. Be careful with bleach and excessive use of F10, from experience it does more harm than good.

Relax, if you have been doing this for years you should know to not panic the moment the snake did a single thing out of the ordinary for the first time. Particularly after you made some changes from the normal.

If u cleaned its enclosure it will always go toilet... Just like if u put on grass in garden... They like to make it there home :)

YER ok, thanks. hes still digesting his rabbit, it was a small rabbit but the last meal he had was a small rat before this rabbit, its the first time hes taken a poo in his bowl. there was some in the other end of the tank, and i don't use F10 excessively just when i blits his enclosure and for the new wood i had put in there for him. Also if he poos in and on his hide ect.
