Hey guys,
So I acquired a jungle python a while ago from a reputable breeder, but took on another carpet python relatively recently from someone who no longer wanted their snake. Since then I’ve been worried about licensing in case I need to move interstate etc and have not been able to fix the issue of registration.
I have acquired a reptile licence for my first python, and I am able to add a second, but do not have the breeder number from the seller as they never had a licence (which I was unaware of at the time). I have since messaged them, tracked down the breeder number for the pet store the python was purchased from, offered to pay for their licence and time to legally transfer it over, but they’re not interested.
Is there any way I can legally transfer this snake into my name with the South Australia regulations? I don’t want any future trouble in regards to licensing and I feel like I’m out of options.
