I've seen a few pygmies (not pictures but real ones) although they are pretty nice looking snakes not worth that price tag. I recon their price tag should be around what a good quality stimpsom is maybe just a little more.

Couldn't agree more. Don't know why but I think down the track I may aquire a pair but for now, I've seen other mind blowing antarsias that I'd much rather have. (Like the albino maccie, hubba hubba!!) Or some of the blonde or platinum macs.

Antersia don't do alot for me really. But I must say, that albino mac looks faily nice. And I wouldn't mind some of of those pygmies, I really like that little red fella on the right!

How have you come to that profound decision? Taking into account the relative rarity in captivity, and the small clutch size (3-7 eggs), I just cant understand how you could justify such a statement. I know of breeders that would hatch as many stimmys in their private collections, as there would be bred in the entire country (perthensis). If you are holding out on perthensis until you can obtain them for a price slightly higher than stimmys, you would want to live for a very long time to see that day roll around.

It's a personal preference. I wouldn't pay that money for them. Nice specimens (in my eyes, I like that red one as I said) I'd consider paying a grand for a pair. But that's just me. There certainly are those that would pay many thousands for these snakes.

On the other hand, I love jungles, they are what do it for me (among others of course) and I wouldn't bat an eye spending a grand for a quality jungle that I felt was worth it. A snake, as well as anything else, is worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it.

i think u have to register.

I have and they e-mailed me the link but nothing happens.

Just checked again and works fine!!!!!

Can't wait for my pair of Broome Stimmies from their 20/20 offer, I got in as soon as they released for these guys, they look fantastic

I personally wouldnt buy a ferrari for the price they go for, but it doesnt mean i would randomly come up with a price that i think more reflects their quality.

That wasn't what I was doing. I didn't say that the price I came up with represents their quality, I didn't say anything about their quality. All I was saying is that they're not my prefered species, they don't do a whole lot for me, therefor I wouldn't be willing to pay as much as some people would.

IMO their very nice snakes, but they're not worth thousands of dollars to me. I'm happy to wait til the price drops before I add any to my collection.

Sorry if I took your post the wrong way, just felt like you were having a go at me.

here is another one

yes it is its one the the ones that where found around Townsville a few years back

dear lord, albino macs. i'm in love. i'd pay anything to have one of those, and the breed them would be a dream!! *drool*

Are they going to be bred? - I remember reading something about nothing being done with them due to QLD regs... awesome if they are

while they are very nice and i definatly will get some eventually, 8-10 is imo to much and i wouldnt pay it. considering they are easy to breed and will happily and easily breed at 18months, thats not including the obvious fact that SR will obvioulsy get themselves in a postion to supply alot of them. i think 5K is reasonable but eventhen probably a little steep. time will tell.

chondro- thats a nice mac!
