The animal SR have is undoubtedly albino but that other one CHONDROS posted looks to be leucistic.

it is the eyes are black
Oh wow, that is really interesting - I didn't even look at the eyes  no wonder it is so white lol. *drools over leucistic mac*
Now you're just teasing us ;) Any more info??? I didn't know there were any leucistic herps in Aus.... Surely something like that would go for more than an albino?

How have you come to that profound decision? Taking into account the relative rarity in captivity, and the small clutch size (3-7 eggs), I just cant understand how you could justify such a statement. I know of breeders that would hatch as many stimmys in their private collections, as there would be bred in the entire country (perthensis). If you are holding out on perthensis until you can obtain them for a price slightly higher than stimmys, you would want to live for a very long time to see that day roll around.

I don't recon i'll have to wait that long. Their price is artificially high right now because no one has them. That is the only reason they have a high price tag. Not only that the market for them is very small, they look just like a rusty childrens python the only people that see something special in them are enthusiasts like ourselves. Once a few people get their hands on them the price will fall steeply, exactly the same as the RSP market went.

Now i'm not saying they will/should be worth $100 each I'm saying it wont be too long before you'll be able to pick a pair up for $1-1.5K and then it wont be much longer for another price fall.

BTW, that red one is pretty specky but i doubt it will hold those colours into adulthood.

Was That one found in the wild in Townsville CHONDROS,not bad at all, although Antaresia dont do a great deal 4 me.So atm there only seems to be a couple around,i cant imagine it wont be 2 long, and we will see alot more of them,i dont no about the price tag,but if some1 really wants 1 you will be surprised at what they will pay, same with any snake...

The pygmy python is the smallest python in the world, for that reason alone it has more "interest value" then the other Antaresia species "IMO," That small size is also going to be a factor in getting hatchlings to feed, which means more work and potential problems for the breeder. However I would love to keep a couple and the fact that full grown adults can be housed in 80cm enclosures only makes them a more attractive prospect..

That Albino Mac is fantastic! I would adore scoring a male for breeding and showing. "Mini Albino Olives", I'm drooling already. They might have to pre-sell, by the sounds of everybody here! xD

Better start saving! D:

while they are very nice and i defiantly will get some eventually, 8-10 is imo to much and i wouldn't pay it. considering they are easy to breed and will happily and easily breed at 18months, thats not including the obvious fact that SR will obviously get themselves in a position to supply alot of them. i think 5K is reasonable but even then probably a little steep. time will tell.

chondro- thats a nice mac!

8-10k would be far too much for me - but i think in light of the pricing for albino Darwin's
its a perfectly realistic figure.

I love that leucistic! Wow!

I'm impressed with the albino mac, but that leucistic is fantastic.
