My baby carpet is bitey and doesnt wanna come out when I go to get her, Ive seen alot of people talking about just going in confidently and grabbing them quickly so they arent freaked out as much. I tried to do this but my snake wraps her tail around objects in her enclosure, vines, branches, etc and she is strong even though shes a baby and I also dont wanna hurt her by just pulling on her. Any good strategies on how to get em out when they grab on for their life like that and wont let go? 🤣

My two metre, adult carpet python can be the same when I get her out. If she really has a hold, I let her go and try again when she is in a better position. If she is only lightly wrapped, I gently unwrap her and take her out.
