what snakes are legal?

i tried looking online and i can’t find much on what snakes are legal in australia and just wanted to know if someone could help thanks in advance

Depends where you live but for most places if it’s native and captive bred you can keep it. Some states have a ranked license system from basic to advanced that you have to work through. Perth doesn’t allow import of pythons etc

you need a license

In Australia you can only keep native animals so seeing you are in Sydney, and a beginner. You can have any snake that is classed as R1 or companion on the list provided by Herpetology
