$500 and the need to administer oral antibiotics later, Bitey is home from the vet's and back to her normal size. Please Please PLEASE make sure that if you are going to feed your snakes over winter, make sure that the temperatures are high enough that the animal can still digest the food!!!
 
Most should know that ....hope she pulls up ok ..and now you know the importance of temps ...ya lucky it could have died
 
Huh. I would like to point out the fact that I was not the one who fed her. The fella I bought her off was keeping her temperatures way too low and was not looking after her properly. She's 2yrs old and only the size of a hatchling. She was undernourished and starving. I'm doing my best now to keep her happy and healthy, and I honestly do not appreciate that kind of attitude.
 
Sorry to hear a vet trip and surgury were necessary. But glad that she is on the road to recovery.
Sounds like she is in a much better home with you!

that was said in a generalised post ...wasnt aimed directly at you now ....if it was, I would have used CAPS....sorry that you read it that way
