I had a woman phone me last week wanting me to donate to the Heart Foundation. I'm a bit hard of hearing (waiting on new hearing aids) so when I heard a woman's voice I just listened for a few seconds thinking it might be my sister. Anyway, right up front this woman had a motor mouth, started her speel and didn't take a breathe. So after a few seconds I just yelled at her.... STOP ....I said my chosen charity is breast cancer. Then she tries to put a guilt trip on me and says.....so you don't want to give to the Heart Foundation ?? I was shocked, and said well, yes I'd like to give to them, and to animal refuges, and all sorts of people, but I can't give to everyone....... then I hung up on her. I thought she was very rude.

I really hate it when they do that. I don't think it does any good for the charity to attempt to manipulate people into donating.
