I am reaching out for professional advice regarding my 4-year-old Coastal X Jungle python, who carries the Jag gene. About eight months ago, I noticed mild neurological symptoms, such as staring directly upward and occasionally flipping around slightly when being handled.

Unfortunately, her condition has rapidly worsened over the past six months. She now flips regularly, can no longer climb, and hasn’t eaten in three weeks. This is concerning, as she was previously very active, loved climbing, and had never refused a meal since I’ve had her.

I understand that neurological issues associated with the Jag gene are often progressive and irreversible. However, I’d like a second opinion to better understand her condition and what steps I should take to assess and ensure her quality of life.

I’d greatly appreciate any guidance on this matter.

Try eliminating anything that may cause stress. No handling unless absolutely necessary. No fumes from cleaning products etc. Aim to keep it as comfortable and stress free as possible. Good luck
