as ramsayi said. maybe you might need to clean and dry your enclosure as well as take your snake to the vet

yeah thanks garthnfay...that sounds right he has be around his heat spot alot the last few days...on my way to the vet now!

Yes, either scale rot or a burn.

Is your substrate clean and dry? A urine stained, or damp substrate can lead to scale rot, usually along the belly.

Has it been sitting on a hotrock or heat mat? Usually when they sit on a hot surface during the 'milky' stage of shedding, the heat can dry out the shedding oils prematurely so that when the old skin is shed, it pulls the new skin off with it.

All you can do now is keep the animal warm, and make sure it is kept on clean, dry newspaper. An anti-septic ointment may help, but healing will mostly be acheived by the snake shedding a few more times.

First thing in the morning ring Gavin Rippon from Laurieton Vet clinic,he knows a bit about reptiles as he owns a few himself,he is the only around this area. The number is 65599828,looks like scale rot or even a burn..

just spoke to a vet and he has told me to bath him a=in a weak iodine solution and keep him clean and dry...he also said he hasnt had alot to do with reptiles...sepent tongue i think u may be on the right track. i use newspaper as a substrate and it get changed once a week...pythins73 thanks for the number i will give him a call tomoro.. for the mean time i am goin to give him a bath and clean him up!! thanks for the advice every1!
