This may be the one thing you and I have in common - having to put up with this crap. With the work I do, I hear this all the time that christians have told our kids (especially the kids in wheelchairs who have no intellectual disabilites and understand it completely) that they are being punished by God and they deserve to be immobile. Same happens when christians claim that some of the kids we work with were molested as punishment for their evil souls. This is common rubbish in my business. Sadder still when the parents of the children tell them they are a punishment and a burden and the parents say they wish they'd never had an "evil child".

Well even though I said I wouldn't comment further I must here, what you are all talking about is not proper and true christianity, the things you are all talking of are disgusting and are in no way associated with Jesus and Christianity.

People who do such things are disgraceful, just because someone says they are christian does not make them so, a christian is known by their lifestyle, and I can assure you all that what you are all saying is not part of such a lifestyle, in fact the complete opposite is true, all this stuff is anti-christian. It's the attitudes of a few ruining the reputation of the whole, as happens in so many instances... The zealots are naturally more outspoken, so draw far more attention to their often less attractive opinions, which ruins the rep. of those who don't push their arguments so hard. I suppose I always try to step back and look at the whole picture, but any instance similar to what Greg experienced would probably ruin that approach fairly quickly, I'm with you there mate.

I will have to agree there greg,i have been fortunate enough to receive several cuddles over the time ive known greg,& as greg said she definately is a gift.She would have to be the most affectionate kid ive ever met & when you look into those eyes you know its genuine,wish there was more people in general you can say that about.

I agree. All the religeous recruting should be done in the way that people get religious with out notice.
I started new religion on the toilet and worked that religion to perfection.

I have many followers as far as I know and I did not campain at all.

I am one of these people you are putting into a generalized box. Religious is not a word I'd use to describe me or my family. It has connotations of fanaticism.

I do not go 'witnessing' I don't tell anybody my beliefs unless they ask. I was brought up to make my own decisions and to be true to myself. And in doing that I became a Christian when I was 26.
I don't go to a Church that knocks people down, nor do we sing ourselves into a frenzy. Nobody loses control and we know that people think we're mad anyway because we believe in a God that can't be seen.

Don't ever expect an explanation of what or why we believe what we do, because I learnt a long time ago that it's not my place to make any other human believe anything. It's my personal journey.
We were given free will. Some of us use it.
